John McCarthy, a former MMA referee and current Bellator commentator, recently called out the chairman of the PFL, accusing him of insulting Larissa Pacheco.

Donn Davis, co-founder and chairman of the rising promotion, recently tweeted the conditions for a possible fight between Kayla Harrison and Cris Cyborg. Harrison and Cyborg have traded insults over the years and a matchup would be highly anticipated.

However, Harrison lost her unbeaten record against Larissa Pacheco last weekend at the PFL World Championships 2022.

Davis' tweet prompted John McCarthy to call out the PFL co-founder. McCarthy claimed that his tweet was an insult to the new PFL women's lightweight champion, as Pacheco had just beaten Harrison.

John McCarthy posted the following on Twitter:

"Offer stands???? You are completely dissing the fighter who just beat Kayla to claim your PFL lightweight title…..Crazy"

See the tweet below:

Kayla Harrison dominated all of her opponents prior to her recent fight with Larissa Pacheco. Having already beaten Pacheco twice, many expected Harrison to extend her unbeaten record last week.

But Pacheco was able to secure a decision victory in a close fight, and laid claim to the $1 million prize and PFL title.

John McCarthy and Josh Thomson on why Glover Teixeira didn't get title shot at UFC 282

Glover Teixeira was in the final stages of his training camp for his fight with Jiri Prochazka at UFC 282 before Prochazka withdrew from the fight.

The former UFC champion suffered a devastating shoulder injury in training and chose to vacate the UFC light heavyweight title. Jan Blachowicz and Magomed Ankalaev, who were scheduled to fight at UFC 282, will now face off for the vacant UFC title in the new main event.

Glover turned down a short-notice offer to fight Ankalaev, but the Brazilian said he would be interested in facing Jan Blachowicz, which the UFC declined to offer him.

John McCarthy and Bellator analyst Josh Thomson discussed the reasons behind the UFC's decision in a recent episode of the Weighing In podcast.

McCarthy said:

"Why is it okay to bring Ankalaev into it with Blachowicz, who he was meant to fight, and kick Glover out? Why couldn't you have done Glover vs. Blachowicz 2."

Josh Thomson stated:

"Both Jan and Glover are older, [the UFC] went with Glover first and he turned it down... Why are you even questioning it? You know why. 'Cause Glover is f***ig old. They don't want him to become champion again."
