Kamala Harris' campaign team recently opened up about her not speaking to Joe Rogan on his podcast and outlined the reasons why the interview fell through. Harris contested the 2024 U.S. Presidential elections for the Democrats against Republican candidate Donald Trump, who ultimately won the race and is set to take office in Janurary.

Trump notably appeared on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast during his campaign run, and the two had an extended conversation about the real estate baron's plans for America in his second term. It was later revealed that Rogan was also in touch with Harris' team, and she was seemingly interested in making an appearance on his show. However, those plans failed to materialize and Rogan later blamed Harris' team for making too many demands.

Given the UFC commentator's popularity and reach among Americans, many believe Trump's viral appearance on the JRE podcast helped him win the elections. However, it appears Harris' campaign team didn't think that way.

During an interview on Pod Save America, Democrat campaign staffer Stephanie Cutter broke down Harris not going on Rogan's podcast and said:

"We had discussions with Joe Rogan's team. They were great. They wanted us to come on, we wanted to come on. We tried to get a date to make it work, but ultimately, we just weren't able to find a date... She was ready and willing to go on Joe Rogan. Would it have changed anything?... Would she do it sometime in the future? Maybe, who knows... Didn't ultimately impact the outcome one way or the other."

Joe Rogan reveals one demand Kamala Harris' team made for potential podcast appearance

Earlier this month, Joe Rogan opened up about Kamala Harris not appearing on his podcast and revealed that her team didn't want him discussing certain sensitive topics with her. Rogan also spoke about them laying out specific conditions for the interview.

During an episode of the JRE podcast with comedian Adrienne Lapalucci (JRE #2227), Rogan revealed that he was asked to avoid bringing up her history with marijuana legalization and said:

"They had, I don’t know how many conversations with my folks, but multiple conversations giving different dates, different times, different this, different that, and we knew that she was going to be in Texas, so I said, ‘open invitation.' I think they had requirements on things that she didn't want to talk about, she didn't want to talk about marijuana legalization, which I thought was hilarious." [H/t: Fox News]
