Kayla Harrison now has Amanda Nunes in her crosshairs since the former has become the UFC bantamweight champion. But, the record holder for most consecutive UFC title defenses does not seem to think this is a good idea.
The seeds for Kayla Harrison vs. Amanda Nunes were planted mere minutes after the dust had yet to even fully settle on Harrison ascending to the UFC throne.
After her second-round submission win over Julianna Pena in Newark, Harrison called Nunes into the cage at UFC 316. It was then that the former two-division titleholder intimated that she would return from her retirement to attempt to win gold once again against Harrison.
Demetrious Johnson did not mince words when offering up his thoughts on this highly discussed UFC title fight. In a quote that was turned into a graphic by X account @MMAUNCENSORED1, Johnson said:

"Harrison is calling out Amanda Nunes. I think that's a very, very bad idea... If I was Kayla Harrison, I would retire from the sport. Don't fight Amanda Nunes."
Harrison responded to 'Mighty Mouse' and said:
"Big fan of Mighty. Bigger believer in myself."

Kayla Harrison predicted to beat Amanda Nunes by reigning UFC champion
Kayla Harrison is not likely to beat Amanda Nunes in the eyes of Demetrious Johnson. But, a reigning UFC champion has a divergent opinion on that highly anticipated future title fight.
Interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall recently indicated that he foresees the 34-year-old retaining her strap against Nunes.
In a recent video on his YouTube channel, Aspinall said:
"To me, Kayla Harrison just looks like she's going to reign at the top of the division for a long time. I do think she'll beat Nunes. When we were at UFC 300, she looked fantastic against Holly Holm. Not only that, what we could see, and people on the TV won't know this obviously, we were in a VIP box that was miles up in the air."
He added:
"Honestly, you could see the definition on her shoulders and biceps from the VIP box which was like up in the nosebleeds area. She is absolutely jacked."
