When Harrison isn't competing in exciting fights, he’s running seminars and creating training content. ‘Hitman’ recently posted a preview of his video about fighting against southpaws, which can be a tough task for inexperienced fighters in combat sports. In the video, the ONE Championship Muay Thai competitor had this to say:

“The main shots that you will use against a southpaw are your backhand, again like I was just stressing about the footwork, it’s important where you stand for this position. If I’m stood inside Joe’s leg, it’s got a long way for me to go to throw that shot. If I’m stepping outside, it’s easy for my right hand to just come straight down the pipe and land on Joe’s chin.”

Harrison made his ONE debut in December 2018 in the featherweight division. After struggling in his first two fights, the Leeds native moved down to bantamweight, winning his next two bouts to earn a world title shot. Unfortunately for him, Nong-O Hama extended his undefeated promotional run with a first-round TKO by leg kicks in August 2022.

Liam Harrison plans to fight again around September

Nong-O Hama has some of the most dangerous leg kicks on the ONE Championship roster. The reigning ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion showcased his kicks by crippling Liam Harrison early in their fight.

As a result, Harrison had to get surgery and miss out on an opportunity to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr. in a boxing match.

Harrison recently provided an update regarding his recovery on Instagram by saying:

“Seminars resume back the 1st July, I’m fully booked from then until the start of September all round UK and Europe. Gonna slow down with bookings for now as I’ll be looking to fight again around September but keep your eye on my page for announcements, if no seminars are coming to your area hit up liamharrisontraining.com link in bio”

Once Harrison returns to the Circle, he will likely be matched up against another ranked bantamweight. ‘Hitman’ is currently ranked number four, which could lead to a fight against Alaverdi Ramazanov, Saemapetch Fairtex, or a rematch against Rodlek PK Saenchai.
