According to the Twitter account of Dizz- @TalkMMA, McGregor was hurt bad and probably has a broken nose. As a result of the incident, his training schedule for his upcoming fight with Eddie Alvarez next month may be affected.
It’s still not yet found out who was the mysterious fighter to knock the biggest superstar of the fight game. All the same, McGregor is dealing with some personal issues and so was granted his match at UFC 205 at MSG, after which he might possibly retire for a short while.
Since the beginning of his MMA career, McGregor has been training at SBG, Ireland with fellow UFC fighter Gunnar Nelson and retired former UFC fighter Cathal Pendred, and with the rest of the team. However, Pendred has retired from the sport and while Nelson is still active. It's still not sure if Nelson was the one who whacked McGregor on to the canvas.
McGregor has never been knocked out in his professional MMA career. Now that he been cursed with a misfortune of a possible injury, sparring may be ruled out for a while in his preparation for his bout against Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205.
