Dvalishvili completed the second defense of his title against Sean O'Malley. The two first locked horns at UFC 306, where 'The Machine' bagged a unanimous decision victory against 'Suga' and claimed the bantamweight strap. In the rematch, Dvalishvili outstruck O'Malley on the feet before securing his first-ever submission win in the third round. His dominant victory has now cemented him as one of the greatest bantamweights in history.

On the other hand, Harrison claimed the UFC bantamweight title by defeating Juliana Pena via kimura submission at the end of round two. She created UFC history by becoming champion in just her third fight in the promotion. She is not expected to test her skills against former decorated bantamweight queen Amanda Nunes.

"I'm on top of the world, I'm a world champion. I come from nothing, I'm so grateful to [be able to] inspire [the] young generation, to show my example. I doesn't matter what you have, as long as you know where you are going. Guys, please, believe [in] your dreams and just follow it, work for it, and everything is possible. Like [me], you can do it too."
