Michael Chandler will appear on the 31st edition of The Ultimate Fighter alongside Conor McGregor, which starts airing on May 30th. According to various reports, filming for the season has wrapped up and the latest TUF series is currently in post-production.

McGregor and Chandler are reported to have had a minor altercation where tensions flared up. However, it seems like both fighters still share a mutual respect for each other, and both are sure that they can finish the other.

On Michael Chandler's Twitter AMA, a fan asked him what he thought was the most surprising thing he noticed about Conor McGregor while filming TUF 31. 'Iron' replied with the following:

"He’s more passionate about this sport than most give him credit for."

Both Michael Chandler and Conor McGregor are coming off losses to Dustin Poirier.

Michael Chandler fought 'The Diamond' at UFC 281 where, after three grueling rounds, he was submitted via rear-naked choke following a failed back-take attempt.

Conor McGregor last fought in 2021 at UFC 264 in a trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier, where 'The Notorious' suffered a devastating injury. McGregor broke his tibia in the first round that led to a doctor stoppage victory for 'The Diamond'.

Despite a 2-3 promotional record, Michael Chandler has never been in a boring fight in the UFC

Michael Chandler was one of the hottest prospects to join the UFC in 2020. Many felt that Chandler was undeserving of top opponents, including the likes of Khabib Nurmagomedov, Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje. Despite many people counting 'Iron' out, he's never been in a boring fight in the UFC.

Except for his fight with Justin Gaethje at UFC 268, none of his promotional bouts have gone the distance. In five fights, Chandler has had two Performance of the Night bonuses and two Fight of the Night accolades, with one of those being given the Fight of the Year honor.

It's safe to say that his upcoming bout with Conor McGregor will deliver on all fronts, and possibly be another bonus-worthy fight.

Chandler has proved to have devastating knockout power, having dispatched Dan Hooker in his promotional debut at UFC 257. 'Iron' feinted low with the right and threw a left hook up-top to drop 'The Hangman' and finish him with punches in the first round.

Before losing to Dustin Poirier, 'Iron' finished Tony Ferguson in what could be considered one of the greatest highlight reel KO's of all time. After facing adversity in the first round at the hands of 'El Cucuy', Chandler threw a front-kick up the middle and caught Ferguson square in the jaw, knocking him out cold.
