ONE flyweight submission grappling world champion Mikey Musumeci is down to doing a super fight and has two flyweight greats in mind to grapple against.

In an interview with the Jiu-Jitsu Times, the Italian-American champion said if the opportunity presents itself, he would not mind battling ONE flyweight mixed martial arts top fighters Demetrious Johnson and Adriano Moraes.

Mikey Musumeci shared:

“Right now, for sure, two people I’d like to grapple this year would be ‘Mighty Mouse’ [Demetrious Johnson] and Adriano Moraes because both of them want to have matches with me.”

Both Demetrious Johnson and Adriano Moraes expressed willingness to face off with Mikey Musumeci, but admitted it would be a tough fight considering how solid ‘Darth Rigatoni’ is in what he does and how he has demolished all of his opponents to date in ONE Championship.

The most recent of Mikey Musumeci’s conquered foes was Saudi-born Yemeni fighter Osamah Almarwai in their title showdown at ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video on May 5 in the United States.

The reigning champion forced Almarwai into submission after being put on a rear-naked choke late in their showdown, part of ONE Championship’s landmark debut live on-ground U.S. show. The win also earned ‘Darth Rigatoni’ a $50,000 performance bonus.

Incidentally Johnson and Moraes headlined ONE Fight Night 10, with ‘Mighty Mouse’ retaining the ONE flyweight world title with a unanimous decision victory over ‘Mikinho.’ The match put an end to their competitive duel that saw Johnson get the upper hand with two wins over Moraes’ one.

The replay of ONE Fight Night 10, which took place at a packed 1stBank Center in Denver, is available for free via Amazon Prime in North America.
