A UFC veteran recently gave his take on Mario Bautista being denied of a post fight interview after defeating Patchy Mix at UFC 316. The individual voiced his displeasure, while praising Bautista for his strong performance.
Bautista welcomed Mix to the promotion in a bantamweight contest on the main card of UFC 316. The pay-per-view was held this past weekend at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The 31-year-old entered the bout with a seven fight win streak, the most recent was a split decision win over former champion Jose Aldo at UFC 307 last year.
Meanwhile, Mix left PFL earlier this year and joined UFC, where many expected 'No Love' to put on a show in his debut, given his outstanding MMA record. He was also coming off a split decision victory over Magomed Magomedov at Bellator Championship Series Paris.
No. 10 ranked Bautista derailed Mix's path to UFC gold by displaying an impressive all-round performance. The 31-year-old made the difference with his crisp striking abilities, which helped him secure a unanimous decision win. However, there was no post-fight octagon interview for Bautista despite his victory, sparking response from the former welterweight title challenger Gilbert Burns.

Burns took to X and wrote:
''Bautista fought a great fight! The level of disrespect no interview. #UFC316''
Bautista is now focused on breaking into the top five of the bantamweight rankings, as evidenced by his remarks during the post-fight press conference, which said:
''I definitely want a top five. I think if Patchy won this fight they would shoot him all the way into the top, so I think I took his spot and all that hype so I definitely deserve a top five. I'm on a eightight win streak and there's no one else above me that has a streak like that except for the champion.''
