Coach John Hutchinson believes Anatoly Malykhin's concussive one-punch power is just one of the many traits that make the three-division king such a terrifying opponent inside the Circle.
In an interview with OG Fight Wear, Hutchinson said that more than Malykhin's destructive power, the almost-unlimited gas tank makes the Russian wrecking machine such an absolute force of nature.
Hutchinson explained that kind of stamina makes Malykhin a rarity among MMA heavyweights who quickly lose energy as a fight wears on.
Tiger Muay Thai's head boxing coach said:
"That guy is one in a million. Has one of the best engines you’ll ever see for a heavyweight."
Anatoly Malykhin is one of the most athletic heavyweights on the planet and he can easily shift his gears during fights to knock people out unconscious in the blink of an eye.
The reigning ONE middleweight, light heavyweight, and heavyweight MMA world champion is 14-0 in his career and 6-0 in his ONE Championship tenure.
He's also been under the tutelage of Hutchinson for almost the entirety of his run in the promotion.
Malykhin now looks to make his first world title defense when he puts the ONE heavyweight MMA world championship on the line against Oumar 'Reug Reug' Kane in the main event of ONE 169 on November 8, US primetime, at Lumpinee Stadium.
ONE 169 is ONE Championship's final numbered event and is available live and free to all Prime Video subscribers in the United States and Canada.
Anatoly Malykhin says his unparalleled work ethic is the fuel to his success
Just one look at Anatoly Malykhin's insane list of achievements would make one believe that he's a natural-born talent.
Malykhin, however, would quickly dispel that notion.
A Master of Sport in Freestyle Wrestling in his native Russia, Malykhin is perfect in his MMA career and holds the ONE middleweight, light heavyweight, and heavyweight MMA world titles.
Malykhin said in an interview with ONE Championship that it's his unmatched work ethic built the foundation for his unparalleled success.
"Well, firstly, it’s not about talent. I work very hard, and I believe only hard work leads me to these victories."
