Three fighters walked away $50,000 richer by the time ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video was in the books.

The first $50,000 performance bonus of the evening went to ‘Fighting Rooster’ Zhang Peimian, who scored a unanimous decision victory over ONE Championship debutant Torepchi Dongak. Peimian delivered a picture-perfect performance against the Russian slugger as part of the ONE Fight Night 8 main card. Zhang’s victory is his third under the ONE Championship banner and his first since suffering a setback in his ONE world title fight against reigning ONE strawweight kickboxing world champion Jonathan Di Bella.

It didn’t take long for the next fighter to earn their own $50,000 bonus as the undefeated Akbar Abdullaev pocketed some extra spending money following an impressive first-round TKO over Oh Ho Taek. The 25-year-old Kyrgyz moved to 9-0 in his professional career with all of his victories coming by way of finish.

Despite making his promotional debut, the 44-second destruction of Oh Ho Taek could put ‘Bakal’ into contention for the ONE featherweight world championship.

Superlek closes ONE Fight Night 8 with a TKO victory over Danial Williams worth $50,000

In the main event of the evening, Superlek Kiatmoo9 put his newly won ONE flyweight kickboxing world championship on the line against short-notice opponent Danial Williams.

Despite not having much preparation to take on ‘The Kicking Machine’ at ONE Fight Night 8, Williams gave it everything he had. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough.

Superlek put on an absolute masterclass and managed to end things early against ‘Mini T’ with a third-round TKO.

‘The Kicking Machine’ caught Williams with a nasty head kick that dropped the Australian-Thai fighter in the third round. ‘Mini T’ answered the referee’s count, but was clearly still feeling the effects. Smelling blood in the water, Superlek swarmed in, landing a beautiful step-in knee that rocked Williams once again. From there, ‘The Kicking Machine’ put his hands to work and dropped ‘Mini T’ for the final time with an uppercut followed by a perfectly-placed 1-2 combination.

Following his victory, Superlek was informed by ONE Championship commentator Mitch Chilson that he had earned himself a $50,000 bonus for his highlight-reel-worthy performance to close out the promotion’s return to the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
