Petsukumvit Boi Bangna moved back into the winner's column with a ferocious finish in the main event of ONE Friday Fights 111. Despite being up against someone of Silviu Vitez's knockout caliber, the An Sukhumvit man brought an attack-only mindset into this flyweight Muay Thai main event showdown on Friday, June 6.
He entered the pocket with heavy kicks aimed at 'Hitman's' lead legs and midsection in the opening frame. Though the Thai hero crept forward with ease, Vitez's iron chin and devastating fists made sure the round ended on a narrow note.
Petsukumvit brought out more aggression in round two. And in only 20 seconds, he caught Vitez with a big left flash on the chin for the fight's first knockdown.
The Romanian didn't seem too fazed by what hit him. However, a minute later, a missile-like right near the turnbuckle sat him down for the second eight-count.

Petsukumvit looked at Vitez dead in the eye and knew his man wasn't going to last long from then on. He blitzed forward with a final salvo of combinations to end the night in highlight-reel fashion via the three-knockdown rule at 1:40 of the frame.
The 26-year-old's second highlight-reel finish in ONE Friday Fights earned the two-time Rajadamnern Stadium Muay Thai world champion the 65th victory of his career.
Before the headline attraction, Pompet PK Saenchai demolished Puengluang Baanramba in the second round of their 137-pound war for his fifth triumph at ONE Friday Fights.
In the night's featured fight, Filipina striking specialist Islay Erika Bomogao moved to a perfect 4-0 in her budding career with a first-round finish of Nerea Rubio.
The Team Bagsik martial artist stopped the Spanish dynamo with a fully powered straight right to the midsection that shut her lights out 65 seconds into their 103-pound joust.
Other Muay Thai stars who emerged victorious on the promotion's latest ONE Friday Fights showcase were Sonrak Fairtex, Watcharaphon Singha Mawynn, Korpai Sor Yingcharoenkarnchang, Andrii Mezentsev, Michael Baranov, and Maksim Bakhtin.
Meanwhile, both MMA scraps that kicked off ONE Friday Fights 111 delivered as promised inside the Mecca of Muay Thai.
Imran Satiev battled past a game Dzhokhar Eskiev to gain a split decision win in their flyweight duel, and Seiya Matsuda overcame Bilal Hussain with a sublime kimura in round two of their featherweight tiff.
