Kulabdam Sor. Jor. Piek Uthai secured another victory over his rival Sangmanee PK.Saenchai in the main event of ONE Friday Fights 2 at the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium. The event was held in front of a packed local crowd on Friday, January 27 in Bangkok, Thailand.
The two Thai striking stars met for the first time in ONE Championship at ONE: No Surrender III in August 2020, with Kulabdam taking a spectacular first-round knockout win.
While their rematch didn’t feature an explosive ending, the three round bantamweight Muay Thai tussle still brought the fireworks that had the Bangkok crowd up to their feet.
Kulabdam practically controlled Sangmanee with cracking left kicks that landed constantly throughout the contest.
The biggest shot of the fight, though, wasn’t a leg kick but a thunderous left hook that Kulabdam used to shake the cobwebs out of Sangmanee late in the third round.
During his post-fight interview with Mitch Chilson, Kulabdam revealed that his game plan was to primarily utilize his leg kicks since he used a left straight to knock Sangmanee out during their first meeting.
Kulabdam said:
“I have a hundred percent confidence that we were going to win this one. Because the last match I won by knocking him out with my punch, so this time I planned that he might be defensive of my punch so I used my legs quite a lot.”
