A user on Reddit has made waves in recent days after correctly predicting that Jake Paul was going to announce a multi-fight contract with the Professional Fighters League (PFL).

The Reddit post was made on January 4, one day before Jake Paul’s PFL announcement, and was initially deleted by the r/UFC moderators until the news broke.

"Hello friends of r/ufc. I would like to be the one to break the news. Jake Paul is signing with the PFL tomorrow. I have a legit source, no proof to provide. Will be announced tomorrow."

Yesterday, following the official announcement from both parties, Reddit user @Pixel_CS followed up on their post, confirming that they in fact leaked the story before any other source:

"Hello, it is I, Ariel Helwani's twin. I said yesterday that Jake Paul was signing with the PFL before ANYONE else had broken the story. Yes I had a legit source, yes I was not making it up. Thanks."

'The Problem Child's' contract with the PFL made headlines across the world yesterday after it was confirmed that he had signed a multi-fight contract. Furthermore, the 25-year-old now owns equity in the organization and will compete in a brand new division, Super Fight.

The former Disney Channel star has also already called for his first opponent, former UFC fighter Nate Diaz.

AKA coach Javier Mendez on whether or not he'd train Jake Paul in MMA

American Kingboxing Academy (AKA) head coach Javier Mendez has weighed in on Jake Paul's move to the PFL and whether or not he'd be interested in taking him under his wing.

'The Problem Child' has previously stated his desire to work under Mendez and few could argue with that. Mendez is one of the most decorated coaches in the sport and has worked with some of the most successful fighters in MMA. Daniel Cormier, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Islam Makhachev and BJ Penn have all trained under Mendez and their praise for the 52-year-old coach knows no end.

In a recent interview with 'The Schmo', the award-winning coach weighed in on Paul's move to MMA and whether or not he'd welcome him into the AKA gym:

"I don't know. He's never asked. He's mentioned it on social media but he's never asked us... There's a routine we go through to get accepted. They'd have to go through the coaches and the fighters. If there's any particular fighter in our camp that doesn't want disruption from that individual, he won't get allowed in... I'd ask the coaches and have a team meeting and we'll talk about it."
