MMA fans appreciated Francis Ngannou's display of humility, which came just after his massive victory at the PFL Battle of the Giants. 'The Predator' thrilled fans with a dominating performance against Renan Ferreira in Riyadh last night. However, his wholesome action after winning the fight also won the hearts of fans.
MMA fans are used to watching Ngannou as the physically larger fighter during the pre-fight weigh-ins. This time, his rival outmatched him both in terms of height and weight. But the Cameroonian delivered when it mattered the most. He made quick work of Ferreira by ending the fight in the first round itself.
Ngannou also celebrated his victory with his entourage. But he didn't miss out on acknowledging the support of his fans, team, and family. The newly crowned PFL Super Fights heavyweight champion put out a tweet thanking all the ones who believed in him.
"Thank you all for being there and for all the support from around the world, thanks to my team and my family."
Fans flooded the comments section of Ngannou's tweet with congratulatory replies. One of them also reminded him of the struggles he had to go through on the journey to this point.
"Remember when everyone said u fumbled the bag 😂😂 congratulations on all your success was a historic performance!"
Others penned:
"You are an inspiration to many! Thank you for everything you gave to the sport...Your son is proud of you!"
"Congrats Francis. You deserve everything."

Francis Ngannou breaks down in tears after his victory at PFL Battle of the Giants
Francis Ngannou's team and fans were delighted by his dominating TKO victory over Renan Ferreira at the PFL Battle of the Giants. But the PFL Super Fights heavyweight king also had an emotional outburst after his victory.
Ngannou went through a terrible loss on April 27 this year as his 15-month-old son Kobe bid goodbye to the world unexpectedly. He couldn't resist Kobe's thoughts coming back to him after his victory, which made him emotional during his in-cage interview.
The former UFC heavyweight champ also asked the combat sports world not to forget his deceased son Kobe during his interview.
"I can’t think of anything [other] than my son Kobe. I took this fight because of him, I wanted to fight for him. I don't know, but I hope they can remember his name. Because without Kobe, I wouldn't be here tonight, I wouldn't have fight [fought]."
