American mixed martial arts phenom ‘Super’ Sage Northcutt is zeroed in on his highly anticipated return to action at ONE Fight Night 10 next month, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t excited to see some of the big fights on that card.
The 27-year-old is excited to compete on such a massive billing with some of the biggest names in martial arts. One in particular has ‘Super’ Sage beaming.
In a recent interview with ONE Championship, Sage Northcutt said he can’t wait to fight alongside reigning ONE flyweight world champion Demetrious ‘Mighty Mouse’ Johnson.
“You have an incredible fighter, Demetrious Johnson, headlining the card. The card is going to be super exciting, especially for the first card in the U.S. I’m itching to get back, I’m so excited.”
Sage Northcutt is scheduled to face Pakistan’s Ahmed Mujtaba in a lightweight contest. ONE Fight Night 10 will be held at the 1stBank Center in Colorado, and will broadcast live and for free to fans in the United States and Canada via Prime Video.
The event marks ONE Championship’s historic first-ever on-ground U.S. card.
In the main event, Johnson takes on former flyweight king Adriano ‘Mikinho’ Moraes in a much-awaited trilogy match for flyweight gold.
Northcutt is currently deep in training, and will be ready for whatever Ahmed Mujtaba brings to the table. Moreover, he’s just pumped to be back in action. In the same interview, he said:
“Oh man, I’ll tell you what. It feels so good. Not only to be back and fighting but it’s been a while. I’ve been itching to get back, I’ve been training, I’ve been excited to get back, and Team Alpha Male is a great team. Not only that, getting to fight in the United States, the first U.S. card for ONE Championship, it’s Denver, Colorado, so I couldn’t be more excited for that.”
