American mixed martial arts phenom ‘Super’ Sage Northcutt is getting ready to step back into the Circle and resume his incredibly promising career.

Following a harrowing knockout loss to Cosmo Alexandre in 2019, Northcutt sustained multiple frontal skull fractures, which required intense surgery. More than a year of rehabilitation, ‘Super’ is back in action against Pakistan’s ‘The Wolverine’ Ahmed Mujtaba.

The two go to war at ONE Fight Night 10: Johnson vs Moraes III on Prime Video, which broadcasts live from the 1stBank Center in Colorado on Friday, May 5th. The event can be watched live and for free in the United States and Canada with Amazon Prime.

Speaking to The MMA Superfan in a recent interview, Northcutt says Mujtaba will have a tough time dealing with his particular skill set, and that it’s hard to train for a fighter like him.

“So right now, I’m 11-3 and so I’ve had 14 professional fights. I came in the sport very young, fighting professionally at a very young age and I believe that my style is a little bit different than a lot people’s styles and it’s something that’s hard to emulate and copy.”

Sage Northcutt also alludes to an experience advantage, having had more fights than Mujtaba. However, ‘The Wolverine’ is on a nice little win streak at the moment, posting first-round finishes over Rahul Raju and Abraao Amorim.

Mujtaba is certainly a dangerous proposition for Sage Northcutt, and the American phenom would be wise to take this comeback fight very seriously.
