Santiago Ponzinibbio and Alex Morono are set to lock horns in a welterweight clash at UFC 282 on December 10 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Let's take a look at how the betting lines have shaped up for the bout.

Based on live odds on DraftKings Sportsbook, Ponzinibbio is a -190 favorite to win the fight, while Alex Morono is a +160 slight underdog. The closing odds for the bout might change as the event draws near.

As per the current odds, a $1000 bet on the 'Argentine Dagger' will fetch users a return of $1,526.31, if Ponzinibbio wins the fight. The same wager on the underdog Morono could result in a return of $2,600 if 'The Great White' wins the match-up.

Additionally, the odds for the Argentinian to win by submission is given as +1600, meaning a $1000 wager on the same can fetch users a gargantuan return of $17,000 if Ponzinibbio pulls off a submission win against Morono.

Ponzinibbio was originally scheduled to fight the former welterweight champion, Robbie Lawler, at UFC 282. However, an injury forced 'Ruthless' to pull out of the matchup. Now the Argentinian will face Morono in a catchweight bout instead.

Santiago Ponzinibbio is currently on a two-fight losing streak and holds a pro-MMA record of 28 wins against 6 losses. In his most recent fight at UFC Fight Night 206, the Argentinian suffered a split decision loss to Michel Pereira.

Alex Morono, on the other hand, has been tearing up the welterweight ranks recently. 'The Great White' is currently on a four-fight win streak and holds a pro record of 22 wins, 7 losses, and 1 no-contest (NC).

In his last octagon outing, the 32-year-old secured a unanimous decision win against Matthew Semelsberger at UFC 277.

Alex Morono looks to emulate Geoff Neal in his fight against Santiago Ponzinibbio

During the media day for UFC 282, welterweight fighter Alex Morono revealed that he is hoping to emulate Geoff Neal in his upcoming fight against Santiago Ponzinibbio.

At UFC 269 last December, Neal secured a hard-fought split decision against the Argentinian. Morono expressed that 'Handz of Steel' performed spectacularly at UFC 269:

"I've been watching pretty much all of his [Ponzinibbio's] fights and when he fought Geoff Neal. I had to watch tape on him and literally emulate him for that fight camp. Geoff did great. so I'm very comfortable with the style. Ponzinibbio actually fights kind of similarly. I get a striker who comes forward, on pay-per-view, man I can't ask for a better fight."
