Stephen Loman believes Fabricio Andrade’s trash talk plays a factor in the circle.

Andrade was trolling John Lineker long before fighting the former ONE bantamweight world champion on October 21 last year. Although Lineker has stated it doesn’t affect him, Loman believes trash talk is mental warfare that can be utilized in MMA.

During an interview with The MMA Superfan, ‘The Sniper’ had this to say:

“Trash talk is part of the game, and it’s also great that Fabricio Andrade has his own way of promoting fights. I think he’s confident in himself. There was even a time that he called Lineker a chicken and that he [Lineker] is running away from a fight. But it is what it is. Mental warfare is part of the battle.”

Andrade and Lineker finally stepped into the circle at ONE on Prime Video 3. Although ‘Hands of Stone’ had his moments, ‘Wonder Boy’ looked phenomenal before landing a groin shot that ended the fight in a no-contest.

On February 24, the bantamweight rivals will fight again with the vacant world championship on the line.

Stephen Loman predicts a war between Fabricio Andrade and John Lineker in February

Stephen Loman is keeping a close eye on Fabricio Andrade vs. John Lineker 2, considering he’s likely getting the next bantamweight title shot. The two Brazilians will settle their previous no-contest at ONE Fight Night 7 on February 24.

During the same interview with The MMA Superfan, Loman had this to say about the vacant world championship matchup:

“This is another hard one to predict. As long as they give their best, the fans win. Let’s just see who is willing to go the extra mile and push through adversity. There’s a world title at stake, after all. I know they’ve trained well for each other. This is going to be a good fight. It’s going to be a war, and even though Fabricio Andrade dominated the first fight, anything can happen in the rematch. Let’s just wait and see.”

The winner between Andrade and Lineker won’t have much time before focusing on their next opponent, Stephen Loman. Loman is 27 years old with a 3-0 promotional record, including a unanimous decision win against former world champion Bibiano Fernandes last time out.

‘The Sniper’ also trains out of Team Lakay, a significant factor in his success. He is now waiting for an opportunity to become the ONE Championship bantamweight king.
