The last two years have been a roller-coaster one for Thai superstar Rodtang Jitmunagnon. It is something he hopes to change in his 2025 campaign in ONE Championship.
'The Iron Man' shared this goal in an Instagram post as he reflected on how things have been for him of late. He vowed to be back to his top-notch form next year and return to coming up with fun and entertaining performances for fans.
"I am ready to create smiles and fun for my fans to watch. 👊🏻👊🏻💪🏽💪🏽"

The last two years have been a mixed bag for the Jitmuangnon Gym standout, which has seen him chalk up impressive wins over Jiduo Yibu (January 2023) and Edgar Tabares (May 2023) and fall to a tough loss to fellow Thai superstar Superlek Kiatmoo9 (September 2023).
The stretch also saw him disconcertingly miss weight, first against Denic Puric (June 2024) and then versus Jacob Smith (November 20214). The last one proved to be too costly as he was stripped of the ONE flyweight Muay Thai world title he long held. He, however, won both matches by decision.
Rodtang bracing for long-planned battle with Takeru next year
A 'fun' 2025 for Rodtang Jitmuangnon should include his long-planned kickboxing super fight against Japanese legend Takeru Segawa.
The two were initially penciled in to lock horns back in January to mark the ONE Championship debut of 'The Natural Born Crusher.' It, however, did not push through as 'The Iron Man' had to deal with an injury.
Plans for the fight continued to be floated but none came to fruition, Of late, both fighters have expressed determination to finally make it happen, even engaging in heated staredowns post-match in their recent fights. Following his last fight in November, Rodtang said:
"See you next year and get ready for me! It'll be a match that fans will all be impressed for sure. Takeru, be ready!".
ONE Championship has yet to officially announce when and where the two martial arts superstars will collide but has assured it will go down at some point next year.
