ONE MMA star and Korean-Japanese pop culture icon Yoshihiro 'Sexyama' Akiyama is exactly what we want to be when we grow up. If "growing up" means being middle-aged with the physique of a 25-year-old bodybuilder, that is.

In a recent post by Akiyama on Instagram, we saw the ageless wonder show off his incredible physique:

"Training done💪"

"Oh damn.. Ok beefed up and ready to go😍"
"You lookin bigger since physical 100. Coming back for season 2??? 👀"
"Ooo Shoulder Boulder😍"

@alxenterprise was bit of a jokester, pointing out that 'Sexyama', despite his youthful body, is old enough to be a young adult's dad:

"That’s my dad"

@jeana.fosterkocur had a nice new monicker for the Korean-Japanese athlete:

"The eighth wonder of the world. I have nothing but love and respect for you! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽❤️❤️❤️"

In his last performance inside ONE Championship's Circle, Akiyama went to war with fellow Japanese MMA legend Shinya Aoki at ONE X. Fighting in the promotion's ten-year anniversary show, the two Japanese MMA icons put on a dramatic grudge match, concluding their staggering 14-year riivalry.

In the bout, Akiyama nearly saw the end early. Aoki was able to take his back and hunted for the rear-naked choke. 'Sexyama' had to have a different level of cool to keep his concentration and thwart all attempts by 'Tobikan Judan' to choke him.

After surviving Aoki's legendary back control, Akiyama bounced back with a vengeance in round two. He swiftly knocked his rival out with a flurry of strikes. It was one of the most dramatic comebacks in ONE Championship and a culmination of one of the most notable rivalries in Asian MMA.
