Adriano Moraes isn't concerned about Danny Kingad's ground game.

18 months removed from his iconic trilogy bout against P4P great Demetrious Johnson at ONE Fight Night 10, 'Mikinho' will return to the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok for a high-stakes showdown with 'The King' at ONE 169 on Friday, November 8.

Both Moraes and Kingad will be looking to bounce back after coming up short in their last outings, but the former eight-time ONE world titleholder is confident that his BJJ skills will hold up and be more match for whatever Kingad brings to the fight.

“I’m sure he’s been working on his ground game a lot," Moraes told ONE Championship. "But I believe that the ground game is his weak point, and the strongest part of my game is jiu-jitsu, without a doubt.”

While Kingad is not necessarily known for his grappling skills, the well-rounded Filipino has more than proven himself against some of the best fighters in the division, including Yuya Wakamatsu, Tatsumitsu Wada, and Reece 'Lightning' McLaren.

Adriano Moraes promises to make Danny Kingad tap out for the second time at ONE 169

ONE 169 will be the second-ever meeting between Adriano Moraes and Danny Kingad, the first coming at ONE Legends of the World in November 2017. On that night, 'Mikinho' scored a submission victory over Kingad with just 15 seconds left in the opening round.

Moraes stopped short of predicting whether or not he'll get the job done just as quickly the second time around, but he's confident that the result will remain the same.

“I’m going into this fight very conscious and very focused that I’m going to submit him again," Moraes added. "I’m going to get him.”
