The co-main event for UFC 280 sees Aljamain Sterling defend his belt against former two-time champion TJ Dillashaw. For the 'Funk Master' this is his biggest test as a champion since being crowned controversially. He will look to silence his doubters and prove he is a legitimate champion. Dillashaw, on the other hand, is looking to become a three-time bantamweight champion.

Charles Oliveira makes a bold statement to Islam Makhachev ahead of UFC 280

Charles Oliveira made a bold statement ahead of his highly anticipated fight against Islam Makhachev on October 22 at the Etihad Arena on Yas Island. Following the ceremonial weigh-ins, when the fighters walked off the stage, Makhachev thanked the fans for supporting him. 'Do Bronx', on the other hand, walked past the camera and said:

"I will kill this guy"

The former lightweight champion looks locked in ahead of his fight. He wants to beat Makhachev in a dominant fashion to remind his fans and every fighter in the division who the real champion is.

Despite being on a 11-fight win streak and being the former champion, the Brazilian goes into the fight as an underdog. Fans in Abu Dhabi have also chosen to boo 'Do Bronx'.

Charles Oliveira has predicted a first-round knockout against Makhachev. The Brazilian holds the record for the most finishes via submission, but he will not look to end the fight against the Russian in that way.
