MMA fans around the globe can breathe a sigh of relief as only one fighter on the UFC 280 main card could not make weight. UFC 280 is headlined by the lightweight title clash between Islam Makhachev and former lightweight kingpin Charles Oliveira.

Charles Oliveira, who lost his title to the scales at UFC 274, made weight successfully this time around. Oliveira weighed in at 154.5 lbs. The Brazilian reportedly made weight hours before the official weigh-ins.

The other half of the main event, Islam Makhachev, also weighed in at 154.5lbs, half a pound below the legal lightweight limit. UFC 280 will mark the Russian's first title shot in the UFC.

The official back-up fighter for the main event, Alexander Volkanovski, also successfully weighed-in at 155lbs. 'The Great' is undefeated in the UFC and holds a pro-record of 25 wins against one loss.

Former bantamweight kingpin Petr Yan weighed in at 136 lbs. The former champion will be looking to get back in the win column in Abu Dhabi following his UFC 273 loss at the hands of Aljamain Sterling.

Yan's opponent, the fiery Sean O'Malley, weighed in at 135.5 lbs at the official weigh-ins. 'Sugar' is coming off a bout with Pedro Munhoz which was ruled a no-contest in the second round.
