UFC 280 weigh-ins: What is the start time & how to watch it?

UFC 280 will take place this weekend on October 22, live from Abu Dhabi. The stacked card featuring two title fights and incredible matchups is arguably one of the best offerings from the promotion in its entire history.

The main event will see former lightweight champion Charles Oliveira take on Khabib Nurmagomedov's protege Islam Makhachev for the vacant lightweight title.

The official weigh-in and ceremonial weigh-in will take place on Friday, October 21 in Abu Dhabi. The official weigh-in will start at 8:50 am GST/12:50 am EST/ 4:50 am GMT. The ceremonial weigh-in will start at 4 pm GST in Abu Dhabi. For fans in the United States, the event will start at 7 am EST. For fans in the United Kingdom, the event will begin at 12 pm GMT.

Both the official weigh-in and the ceremonial weigh-in will be live streamed on the UFC website, YouTube, Facebook, and Twitch. The ceremonial weigh-ins will be followed by the final face-off for each fighter.

UFC 280 Charles Oliveira vs. Islam Makhachev - What's at stake?

'Do Bronx' wants his belt back, and the Russian is looking to bring the belt back to Dagestan to realize the plan of his late coach, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov. In the co-main event, bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling will face former two-time champion T.J. Dillashaw in what will be his second title defense. Dillashaw is looking to win the belt for the third time and make history.

The final three-round fight on the main card puts bantamweight prospect Sean O'Malley against former champion Petr Yan in a fight that will likely determine who is the next number one contender. The weigh-ins will take place a day before the fight. The UFC will be returning to Fight Island for the first time since October 2021, almost a year to the date. Etihad Arena on Yas Island will play host to the event.
