The post also appeared to capture the attention of his fans, with some of them immediately drawing comparisons between the bear, and the one former UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov wrestled in that now-famous video.

One user, @jayhllk said:

"Bro met with Khabib's sparring partner"

Another user, @khaledbeydoun, a prominent author, said:

"Go easy on him brother"

Another user @tsesannn compared the bear directly to Khabib, saying:

"What's khabib doing there?"

Many other users showed Khamzat support, and reacted positively to the post. Given his impressive following of 5.3 million on Instagram, his status as one of the UFC's biggest superstars appears to be intact, despite having not fought in quite some time.

Kamaru Usman may be Khamzat Chimaev's next opponent

Khamzat 'Borz' Chimaev and Kamaru Usman have gone back and forth on Twitter, and both fighters appear to have agreed to fight each other.

The fight makes sense for both fighters. For Chimaev, a win against Usman, a former long-time champion, would be a statement that he is ready to hang with the sport's best. For Usman, who is coming off consecutive losses to Leon Edwards, Chimaev may be the biggest name available, both financially, as well as in terms of the title picture.

According to reports, Usman even walked into the UFC office to ask for the fight. As of now, Chimaev moving up to 185 lbs appears to be the biggest wrench in the works, as Dana White has stated that he doesn't want to make the fight at a catchweight. If Khamzat Chimaev agrees to drop back down to 170, we may see him facing Usman sooner rather than later.
