A fighter recently paid the price for offering a fake glove touch during BFL 76 on UFC Fight Pass.

On the main card of the event, Ash Mashreghi went up against Dario Sinagoga. As the first bell rang, Sinagoga went for a glove touch to kick things off. However, it was nothing but a tactic to catch his opponent off guard and shoot for a takedown.

However, Dario Sinagoga ended up paying the price for his poor show of sportsmanship as he was knocked out by Ash Mashreghi just seconds later in the very first round.

Take a look at the video below:

With his emphatic win, Mashreghi extended his MMA record to 8-7 with four KOs. It will be interesting to see what's next for 'Smash' in his MMA career and if he can make it to the UFC.

When Khamzat Chimaev offered a fake glove touch to Kevin Holland at UFC 279

Khamzat Chimaev took on Kevin Holland last year at UFC 279. While he was supposed to go up against Nate Diaz, 'Borz' missed weight and the card was reshuffled.

It was a rather short outing for Chimaev, who finished Holland in the first round of the fight via submission, but the win didn't come without its fair share of controversy. As soon as the fight started, 'Borz' appeared to offer Holland a glove touch, before shooting for a takedown instead.

After taking him down, Khamzat Chimaev successfully managed to submit Kevin Holland following a few scrambles. 'Borz' was put on blast by many for his lack of sportsmanship and 'cheating'.

It is worth noting, however, that what the Russian-born Swede did was not outside the rules and so cannot be labeled as cheating.

Following his win over Kevin Holland, a lot has been said about the future of Khamzat Chimaev. While rumors of a potential fight against the likes of Paulo Costa, Vicente Luque, and more have surfaced online, nothing seems certain at the moment.
