ONE Fight Night 26: WATCH: Get all the angles of Elias Mahmoudi’s clinical spinning backfist knockout of Taiki Naito in Bangkok

Algerian Muay Thai star Elias Mahmoudi enters his scheduled match this week off an impressive knockout victory by way of a well-placed spinning backfist over Japanese Taiki Naito in August in Bangkok. It is something he is looking to build on as he tries to make it three straight victories.

'The Sniper' took on Naito at ONE Fight Night 24 on Aug. 2 in a flyweight kickboxing clash, where the former showed his topnotch striking by descending on his opponent from all directions. He capped it off with a well-executed spinning backfist that Naito did not see coming in the third round that ended the fight instantly.

ONE Championship moved to highlight the clinical execution of Elias Mahmoudi of the spinning backfist with a carousel of videos on Instagram of the move from various angles.

The same efficiency in striking is what Mahmoudi is looking for in his scheduled match at ONE Fight Night 26 on Dec. 6 in his flyweight Muay Thai showdown against veteran brawler Denis Puric of Canada.

The contest is part of the event happening at the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok and airing live and for free in U.S. primetime to North American fans with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription.

Denis Puric admits he has his work cut out against Elias Mahmoudi

Bosnian-Canadian fighter Denis Puric is girding for a tough battle against Elias Mahmoudi in their scheduled flyweight Muay Thai clash at ONE Fight Night 26 on Dec. 6.

'The Bosnian Menace' made this known in an interview with ONE Championship, sharing how Mahmoudi's length and extensive arsenal pose a huge challenge for him come fight night.

He said:

"I think he's great fighter. Very aggressive, long. He's got a lot of tools and he uses them very well."

At ONE Fight Night 26, Puric looks to rebound after he lost to Thai superstar Rodtang Jitmuangnon by decision in his last fight in June. Mahmoudi, for his part, seeks to continue rolling and win his third straight match and fortify his push for a shot at the currently vacant ONE flyweight Muay Thai world title.
