The legend-versus-legend showdown between former ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title challenger Liam Harrison and Thai icon Seksan Or Kwanmuang lived up to the expectations. Seksan got the best of Harrison in the co-main event of the recently concluded ONE 168: Denver card, which went down at the Ball Arena in Colorado, with a second-round TKO victory.
Highlights and the ending sequence of the match was posted by the promotion on Instagram. In the caption, they wrote:
"THROWING DOWN ⚔️ Seksan stops Liam Harrison in a CHAOTIC clash of Muay Thai legends! @seksan_or_kwanmuang999"
After a relatively close opening round that saw them exchange powerful strikes, the momentum significantly shifted in the second round, with 'The Man Who Yields To No One' scoring three knockdowns against 'Hitman' for the TKO finish.
The first knockdown was a solid elbow strike that almost knocked out Harrison. Then, Seksan followed up with a looping right hook that sent the British superstar crashing down the mat once more.
Seksan finally uncorked a vicious right-hand punch to end the match with a third knockdown and secure his ninth victory under the world's largest martial arts organization.
Seksan bagged the $50,000 performance for his masterful performance against Harrison
The 35-year-old veteran made a statement in front of the American crowd by abandoning his usual fighting style and going berserk during the match with Harrison.
This all-gas, no-brake style, which saw him march forward with constant pressure, led to a highlight-reel finish. Ultimately, it became his ticket to capture the coveted $50,000 performance bonus from ONE Championship Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong.
Seksan joined Johan Estupinan, Johan Ghazali, Adrian Lee, John Lineker, and Superek Kiatmoo9 as the recipients of the $50K bonus.
