ONE Championship posted highlights of Zebaztian Kadestam’s impressive performance against Tyler McGuire.

In November 2018, Kadestam earned an opportunity to secure the vacant welterweight championship after starting his ONE tenure with a 2-1 record. He was matched up against McGuire, who was coming off a win in his promotional debut.

Throughout the five-round fight, Kadestam showcased his entertaining antics by dancing and laughing at McGuire. With 28 seconds left, ‘The Bandit’ secured a knockout win to become a world champion. ONE recently shared highlights of the fight on Instagram with the caption saying:

“Zebaztian Kadestam is VICIOUS 😨 Will "The Bandit" be able to KO Roberto "Robocop" Soldic on May 5 at ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video? @zebaztiankadestam”

Kadestam defended the welterweight title once before being dethroned by Kiamrian Abbasov in October 2019. ‘The Bandit’ lost his next two fights in 2021, creating concerns about whether he could bounce back. The Swedish fighter silenced the doubters in 2022, securing back-to-back first-round finishes.

Roberto Soldic sends a war to Zebaztian Kadestam about standing and trading at ONE Fight Night 10

Zebaztian Kadestam will look to extend his two-fight winning streak on May 5 at ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video, the promotion’s first event on U.S. soil. The former world champion has been matched up against Roberto Soldic, a highly-touted contender in the welterweight division.

During an interview with ONE Championship, Soldic had this to say about his upcoming opponent:

“He is a kill-or-be-killed type of guy. It’s not good for him if he does this with me. If he stands a lot with me, that will be a big problem.”

Soldic made his promotional debut against Murad Ramazanov in December 2022. Things didn’t go as planned as Ramzanov landed an illegal groin strike in the first round, leading to a disappointing no-contest. ‘Robocop’ looks to get back on track inside the sold-out 1stBank Center in Colorado.

Anything can happen in a fight, but it's unlikely that Soldic vs. Kadestam won't be entertaining. Both fighters have aggressive styles and need a win to take another step toward earning a welterweight title shot. ONE Fight Night 10 can be seen live and for free by North American Prime Video subscribers.
