ONE lightweight kickboxing world champion Regian Eersel expects the best version of Sinsamut Klinmee when their paths collide at ONE on Prime Video 3.

The two disciples of the striking arts will vie for the right to be named the inaugural ONE lightweight Muay Thai world champion inside the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur this Friday (US Primetime).

For ‘The Immortal’, it’s a chance to have his name etched in the annals of history by becoming a two-sport ONE world champion.

The 26-year-old Suriname-Dutch fighter, however, knows he’ll be in for the fight of his life against a streaking opponent who has something to prove.

Sinsamut, after all, might just have the most genuine Cinderella stories in combat sports history.

A relatively unknown fighter just a year ago, the Thai wrecking machine has become an overnight celebrity after collecting back-to-back $50,000 bonuses for knocking out Nieky Holzken and Liam Nolan in devastating fashion.

After performances like that, it’s hard to deny his claim for the prestigious gold strap in Muay Thai’s 170-pound ranks.

With that said, Regian Eersel believes ‘Aquaman’ will be shifting to an even higher gear with the world title on the line.

The Sityodtong Amsterdam Gym product told ONE Championship in an exclusive interview:

“I think he's going to bring a good fight. He's fighting for a title, you know, that's life-changing for him. But also life-changing for me, so I think we'll see the best Sinsamut inside of the cage. And I think he will fight as he always does, fighting on the counter. He likes to poke around and then see what his opponent will do.”

While Sinsamut’s last two outings were indeed sensational, he’s going to be dealing with a whole different monster in Regian Eersel. The Amsterdam, Netherlands native is yet to taste defeat inside the circle.

On Friday, only one fighter will leave Axiata Arena with their unbeaten record still intact.

Regian Eersel feels no pressure against Sinsamut Klinmee

Six years is truly a long time to stay undefeated – a feat that Regian Eersel has been able to remarkably sustain.

Armed with the lessons he learned from those countless wars, ‘The Immortal’ no longer feels threatened by his opponents.

He shared in the same interview with ONE:

“No, I don’t feel pressure. Just because I have been able to do it for the last six years. And yeah, it motivates me a little bit. Yeah, I’m undefeated for six years. Not many fighters are undefeated in six years, so yeah, but I’m not thinking about that when I go inside of the circle. I’m just thinking that I have to win. I have to beat the guy in front of me.”
