Jake Paul recently came under fire from a former UFC fighter and fans after he claimed he could hang up his boxing gloves and make the switch to the NFL with ease.

'The Problem Child' is currently preparing for the biggest bout in his boxing career so far when he faces Mike Tyson later this year. The pair are set to meet in the headline slot on Nov 15., with the card taking place at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Recently, however, it's not Paul's boxing that has got fans talking. The 27-year-old took to X, where he called out what he believes are the biggest problems with the NFL today. He then claimed that if he wanted to, he could 'easily' become an NFL player. Paul tweeted:

"And this game proves why it's going to be easy for me to go to the NFL 😊So much mediocrity, lack of professionalism. and very low IQ."

Paul's words didn't sit well with fans, which included former UFC middleweight Derek Brunson. 'The One' responded to Paul's tweet and asked what he was drinking to make him believe he could play in the NFL. Brunson wrote:

"What you drinking tonight?"

Fans also chimed in with their say, with many opting to criticize Paul for his naivety. One fan wrote:

"You have no chance"

Another fan commented:

"Anything to avoid MMA"

One fan responded:

"Bruh… you’re reaching at this point"

Eddie Hearn sounds off on Jake Paul for Mike Tyson bout

Eddie Hearn has refused to hold back after he reiterated his stance regarding Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson later this year.

Much of the controversy surrounding the fight is due to the major age disparity between 'The Problem Child' and 'Iron Mike'. Tyson is 31 years older than Paul.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, The Matchroom Boxing promoter called out Paul and anybody else who supports the fight, believing they don't care about Tyson's health or well-being. He said:

"What, what, what on earth are we doing? I'm lucky enough to have a business where we don't need to do that. And I will never do that... Anyone that thinks that [Tyson] should be in the ring right now either doesn't have his best interests at heart or is an idiot."
