In the Pokemon anime, trainers throw Poke Balls at Pokemon they have defeated in battle to capture them. So, 'Venom's' stunt was a way of showcasing his domination over his opponent.

Originally a video game developed for Nintendo in 1996, Pokemon quickly spawned countless anime iterations. Both anime and video games are extremely popular all over the world.

In another piece of good news for Pokemon lovers, after 25 years of anime, the show's protagonist Ash Ketchum has finally become the world's greatest Pokemon trainer in the latest episode of Pokemon Ultimate Journeys.

The episode aired last Friday in Japan.

Ketchum accomplished the milestone by becoming the world champion in the eighth edition of the Pokemon World Coronation Series by defeating the reigning champion, Leon.

Michael Page is currently the No.2-ranked welterweight in Bellator MMA. He holds a pro record of 20 wins against two losses. 'Venom' is a former Bellator interim welterweight title challenger.

Page's last fight at Bellator 281 ended in a controversial unanimous decision loss to Logan Storley.

Michael Page says that Logan Storley just wanted to survive at Bellator 281

During an interview on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani, Bellator welterweight Michael Page addressed his loss to Logan Storley, claiming that 'Storm' came to the fight to survive rather than inflict damage.

At Bellator 281, Storley effectively neutralized 'MVP's' superior stand-up game by controlling him on the ground for a good portion of the fight. During the interview, 'Venom' stated that he was not bruised or injured after the five-round affair:

"Afterwards I was like, yeah he didn't do anything. I'm being dead serious when I say - I have not one bruise, one sore, one injury, not nothing that is niggling from that fight. I genuinely feel like I haven't had a five-round championship fight... Like I said, he didn't come to damage, he came to survive. Now tactically great for him, he won the fight. But it's frustrating still, to have lost that way."
