Alan Jouban's professional MMA career concluded naturally, with the 39-year-old leaving the sport in 2021 to pursue a broadcasting career.

Jouban also stated that "injuries, age and life" played a factor in the former UFC fighter leaving the sport for good.

'Brahma' is now a broadcast analyst for ESPN and the UFC, while also color commentating for LFA. Jouban seemingly uses his platform to stay connected within the sport, stating that he enjoys sharing his passion for MMA during his broadcast career:

"So I’ll focus my time now on broadcasting where I can still share my passion and knowledge for the sport with with everyone at home. Thank you to everyone for all the love over the years. I look forward to becoming a staple in the sport from this end now aswell."

Alan Jouban finished his MMA career under the UFC banner, but ended this spell of his life on a positive note. 'Brahma' managed to beat Jared Gooden via unanimous decision at UFC 255: Figueiredo vs. Perez in 2020.

The 39-year-old retired from professional MMA with a record of 17 wins and 7 losses. Five of Jouban's losses came under the UFC banner, with Mike Rhodes beating Jouban in Resurrection Fighting Alliance and Chidi Njokuani knocking him out in Tachi Palace Fights.

Was Alan Jouban a model before joining the UFC?

Yes. Before joining the UFC, Alan Jouban was a male model. 'Brahma' started his modeling career in Louisiana, but later moved to Los Angeles in order to book more gigs in professional modeling.

However, Jouban's fighting passion eventually made life awkward for the male model, turning up to photoshoots with black-eyes after fighting and training. The MMA analyst was originally searching for a new workout routine when partaking in muay-thai, but fell in love with the sport and eventually made it his full-time career.

One of Alan Jouban's biggest breaks in the modeling world came when doing a advertising campaign for Versace while still competing in the UFC. It was clear that Jouban never saw modeling as an escape from MMA, but as a tool to build his brand during his fighting career.
