Khamzat Chimaev shared his thoughts on visiting Joe Rogan's podcast. The UFC color commentator and Fear Factor host is one of the pioneers of the podcast format. His Joe Rogan Experience podcast has global following and over five billion views on various platforms.
Rogan has discussed a vast variety of topics with people from all walks of life and many prominent combat sports athletes have shared their life journies on his show. Recently, Adam Zubayraev asked Chimaev if he would visit Rogan's podcast. Chimaev replied:
"If at a convenient moment, anyone invites, maybe we could, maybe..."
When asked if the idea of interacting with Rogan excites him, 'Borz' replied:
"I don't know what I would talk about with him... It's completely unclear... Well, all these questions about sports, fights, and all that... I think I've moved past all that. I said what needed to be said. I said I want to be champion and all that and it keeps repeating with everyone, yes. With journalists also it's the same thing. 99 percent, it's the same questions... For me, it's not interesting. I don't like being on camera all that much."

Khamzat Chimaev answers if he wants to share Chechen culture through the Joe Rogan Experience podcast
Khamzat Chimaev was born in the Chechen Republic of Russia in the North Caucasus. Chechnya, along with its neighboring republic of Dagestan, has produced several prominent MMA athletes, including Khabib Nurmagomedov, Islam Makhachev, and Chimaev himself.
However, there is a need for a greater understanding of the region's culture and social fabric in the Western world. When asked if he would like to share his culture with the world through a global show like the Joe Rogan Experience, Chimaev said:
"All Chechens have shown their culture and everyone knows about us. This is not only in sports but in everything. I think in every sphere, everyone knows what kind of people we are. I shouldn't be telling them. My fathers told them. They proved who we are. For me, I'm just a simple athlete, trying to make people happy." [47:58]
On the professional front, Chimaev surged into the top three of the middleweight division with a first-round submission win over Robert Whittaker at UFC 308. The undefeated fighter is one of the frontrunners for the title shot against reigning champion Dricus du Plessis. However, the promotion has not made an official announcement regarding the division's title picture so far.
