Ali Abdelaziz recently took to social media to sound off on Conor McGregor and slammed the Irishman for some comments he made about Donald Trump a few months ago. The MMA manager reminded his followers about McGregor's reaction to Trump calling Khabib Nurmagomedov his favorite fighter and chastized him for being a "jealous" man.
During his 2024 U.S. election campaign trail four months ago, Trump went live with streamer Adin Ross, and the two discussed the 78-year-old's love for MMA and the UFC. During their conversation, the President-elect called Nurmagomedov his favorite fighter and praised the Dagestani grappling maestro for his dominance in the cage.
Given the long-running rivalry between the two, McGregor wasn't happy about Trump giving Nurmagomedov his flowers and lashed out at the real estate baron on social media. He wrote:
"Campaign ending decision. A smelly fat mountain monkey from the inbred mountains of Dagestan is your favorite UFC (AMERICAN COMPANY) fighter? Wow. Abysmal."
In a recent X post, Abdelaziz reposted a clip of Trump's comments with a screenshot of McGregor's X post and slammed the Irishman for criticizing "the greatest President in history" online. He wrote:
"People forget about this scumbag talking shit about the greatest President in history when President @realDonaldTrump said Khabib is his favorite fighter. You a jealous little leprechaun @TheNotoriousMMA."
Dana White compares Conor McGregor and Donald Trump's UFC walkouts
It's no secret that Dana White shares a close relationship with Donald Trump, and the former POTUS is a regular guest at major UFC events. Given his status, Trump is often greeted with an uproar every time he walks out into the arena, and White believes only one other fighter could match the 78-year-old's walkout energy.
During an interview with TMZ Sports, White named Conor McGregor as the UFC star who is received with equal enthusiasm and compared the Irishman's walkout to Trump's entrance. He said:
"You know what's crazy when you think about it? When you think about fighter walkouts, the two biggest that actually shake the arena are President Trump and Conor McGregor. Two of the biggest fight walkouts ever."
