Joe Rogan has hilariously weighed in on some of the world's most expensive alcohols and cannabis. In a recent edition of The Joe Rogan Experience (JRE) podcast, Rogan and fellow American comedian Kurt Metzger discussed alcohol and cannabis-related products worth thousands of dollars each.
Rogan suggested that despite the recent surge in weed sales, with the drug gradually being legalized in several parts of the world, the revenues garnered through alcohol sales still trump that of weed. Additionally, the UFC commentator and MMA personality insinuated that there are a myriad of expensive alcoholic beverages sold by different brands worldwide. Rogan stated:
"The amount of money that you actually spend on weed -- even if weed is more than it is now -- in comparison to alcohol, it's not even comparable. Especially if you like to drink expensive sh** like 'Clase Azul Tequila' or something or some old scotch, that sh** is really expensive. So like, 50 bucks, how many drinks can you get? You know how high you can get with 50 bucks?"

Kurt Metzger put forth his take and alluded to the fact that akin to expensive alcohol products and brands, there are also various exorbitantly-priced cannabis products. Reviewing social media posts featuring hip-hop star '2 Chainz' trying out high-priced gold-wrapped cannabis products, Rogan said:
"Twenty-four thousand dollar joint... Oh, is it made of gold? Is that what it is?"
Additionally, Rogan burst into laughter after asserting:
"Oh, so you're smoking gold."
Moreover, Rogan and Metzger jested about a business practice in the cannabis industry wherein a given salesperson tries to present cannabis products simply as "plant medicine" and "flowers."

When Joe Rogan lit up a blunt with Elon Musk on the JRE podcast
In September 2018, Joe Rogan hosted billionaire businessman Elon Musk on the JRE podcast. Rogan, a vocal advocate of marijuana use and cannabis products, spoke to Musk about topics such as marijuana, whiskey, and tobacco. The duo ended up smoking a blunt on the podcast, with Rogan stating:
"It's marijuana inside of tobacco. You've ever had that? You probably can't because of stockholders, right? How does that work? Do people get upset at you if you do certain things?"

As Joe Rogan guessed, Elon Musk smoking marijuana on a public platform ended up upsetting the stockholders of the billionaire's companies such as SpaceX and Tesla. The podcast segment shook up the stock market. Musk eventually apologized for his actions, even going as far as emphasizing that his actions were "not wise."
