Youtuber Danny Aarons gives hilarious reaction to fighting ex-Manchester United star Danny Simpson

YouTuber Danny Aarons recently gave a hilarious reaction to his fight with retired English footballer Danny Simpson. Simpson is set to make his boxing debut against Aarons at the upcoming Misfits event on Aug. 31 at the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland.

Aarons was originally slated to face TikToker Brandon Beavis, but Beavis was replaced by the ex-Manchester United star on short notice due to an injury. Boxing Journalist Michael Benson reported the news on X, writing:

"Announced: Former Manchester United and Leicester defender Danny Simpson will make his boxing debut and face YouTuber/streamer Danny Aarons on a show staged by KSI's Misfits on Aug 31st in Dublin."

Upon the announcement, Aarons took to X and shared his reaction to the fight, writing:

''Fighting a premier league winner wasn’t on my 2024 bingo card but here we are @misfitsboxing @mf_daznxseries @SauerlandBros''

Simpson was a member of the Leicester City team that made history in the 2015-16 season by avoiding relegation and winning the Premier League. He retired from professional football on July 26 of this year. In addition to covering United as a pundit for MUTV in recent years, he returned to Carrington last year to start completing his coaching badges.

Simpson's fight is merely the most recent effort by Misfits to enlist famous football players. His former Manchester United teammate Wayne Rooney stated that he has spoken with the promotion about a possible appearance.

KSI was also scheduled to return to action in the main event. However, an injury prompted him to withdraw from the event. He will perform live at the 3Arena, although the main event has yet to be revealed. Misfits Boxing will celebrate its second anniversary at the upcoming event, and KSI intends to make it an unforgettable evening.

The upcoming Misfits boxing event at the end of this month will see retired footballer Danny Simpson and popular FIFA YouTuber Danny Aarons make their boxing debuts.

In a video posted on Misfits Boxing's YouTube channel, Aarons discussed the fight with Simpson, saying:

''It was a weird one. I thought, 'I've trained this much and now I'm potentially not fighting or I'm fighting someone that won't make any moves.' Then bang, Mams [Taylor] hits me up, 'Bro, we've got an ex-footballer. Done, I didn't even need to know who he was, whether he has trained before. I've now done some research, he has been training for four years but that's fine, I don't care...I'm doing the Jake Paul route. I'm 22, I'm fighting a 37-year-old athlete, this is basically Nate Robinson. This is how it starts, mate''
