ONE 163: Akimoto vs. Petchtanong took place shortly after ONE on Prime Video 4: Abbasov vs. Lee, and it certainly kept the hard-hitting action rolling inside the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Headlined by a bantamweight kickboxing world title match between Hiroki Akimoto and Petchtanong Petchfergus, the stacked card lived up to its billing and more.

The main event featured Petchtanong's crowning moment as he unseated the proud Japanese fighter after a hard-fought five-round striking war.

Meanwhile, Roman Kryklia won the ONE Heavyweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix over Iraj Azizpour in dramatic fashion.

That epic performance earned him a shiny new silver belt and a cool $50,000 bonus.

Let’s have a look at the four warriors who received the extra dough from ONE Championship Chairman and CEO Mr. Chatri Sityodtong.

Bianca Basilio (ONE women’s strawweight submission grappling)

The promotion's women’s strawweight submission grappling scene might have just found itself a superstar.

Bianca Basilio did not even break a sweat against Milena Sakumoto and was the event's first recipient of the cash bonus. The 26-year-old Brazilian imposed her will early by effortlessly passing Sakumoto’s guard.

The Japanese-Brazilian tried to turtle up but the ADCC champion flawlessly took her back. Basilio, who has the utmost confidence in her abilities, went for the neck immediately before even getting her hooks in.

The decorated Brazilian jiu-jitsu world champion certainly knew what she was doing as she sunk in a deep rear-naked choke.

Sakumoto tried to defend but Basilio was simply a step ahead and adjusted her grip. She cranked that submission like there was no tomorrow and even contorted Sakumoto’s back with a body triangle.

Woo Sung Hoon (catchweight 63kg MMA)

Woo Sung Hoon just delivered the performance of his life.

Heading into the fight with knockout artist Yuya Wakamatsu, the South Korean slugger adopted an interesting strategy by going southpaw to try and counter the heavy-handed Japanese.

The plot worked to perfection, as he was able to disrupt Wakamatsu’s rhythm and land shots from the outside. After trading hard shots midway through the first round, Woo got the better of the exchanges by tagging the No.3-ranked flyweight contender with a looping left hand.

Once he got ‘Little Piranha’ hurt, ‘Dynamic’ swarmed like a shark that smelled blood and went in for the kill. Woo followed a dazed Wakamatsu to the ground and continued to unleash brutal strikes.

He transitioned to mount and kept the barrage going with elbows and punches, forcing the referee to stop the fight at the 2:46 mark of Round 1.

That massive victory will likely propel Woo to the top 5 of the 135-pound division.

Furthermore, he received a well-deserved second cash bonus of the evening.

Saygid Izagakhmaev (lightweight MMA)

Saygid Izagakhmaev was a man on a mission at ONE 163.

In less than a round, the Russian mauler sent another chilling statement by obliterating former lightweight world champion Shinya Aoki.

Khabib Nurmagomedov’s understudy meant business from the opening bell, peppering the Japanese legend’s face early on with hard shots.

Once Aoki dropped his guard, Izagakhmaev landed a missile of a straight right hand that landed flush. He quickly followed ‘Tobikan Judan’ to the ground, but wisely avoided a grappling battle against the legendary submission specialist.

Instead, the Russian pounded Aoki to oblivion with some massive ground-and-pound to record his third win inside the circle at the 1:26 mark of Round 1.

Izagakhmaev gladly collected his $50,000 bonus and asked Chatri Sityodtong for a world title shot against lightweight king Christian Lee.

Roman Kryklia (heavyweight kickboxing)

Roman Kryklia is a walking highlight waiting to happen.

The towering Ukrainian finisher exited the Singapore Indoor Stadium with two massive belts on his broad shoulders and a pocketful of cash.

The heated grudge match between Kryklia and his rival Iraj Azizpour was one crazy affair. But in the end, the light heavyweight kickboxing world champion reigned supreme and became the ONE Heavyweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix Champion in the process.

Kryklia was on the verge of defeat after he got dropped by the hard-hitting Iranian in the first round. After getting his bearings back, the kickboxing savant returned the favor by smashing Azizpour with a brutal knee from the clinch in the second canto.

But unlike Kryklia who survived the early onslaught, Azizpour met his end after barely answering the standing eight-count. The Ukrainian put the finishing touches with a textbook one-two combination to end his rivalry with Azizpour.

The usually stoic Kryklia flashed a big smile after cashing in his second straight $50,000 performance bonus.
