In March, at ONE: REIGN OF VALOR, Zebaztian Kadestam looked like a champion in trouble against Georgy Kichigin.

The challenger was controlling the ONE Welterweight World Champion on the ground through most of the first two rounds.

Kichigin was overpowering Kadestam with his grappling and not allowing him any room to get any of his offense going while standing.

Kichigin made a tactical error against the cage late in the second round and left himself open for a hard right elbow from Kadestam.

The champion caught him flush on the side of the head, and weakened the challenger. Kichigin made it through the final seconds of the second round, but he was unable to answer the bell for the third. Kadestam's ability to stay dangerous saved his title.
