Round 1: Ben Saunders faced Lyman Good in the first match of the Preliminary Card. Saunders came out with a couple of good shots, but Lyman Good's speed was amazing. He saw Saunders go for the clinch, and Lyman hit big uppercuts, and that was all he needed to pick up the win.

#2 Julio Arce vs. Sheymon Moraes

UFC 230 Arce v Moraes
UFC 230 Arce v Moraes

Round 1: Julio Arce looked like he was in trouble early on in the fight. As soon as the fight began he was knocked down by his opponent, Sheymon Moraes. Moraes followed up with punch after punch, but Arce displayed his ability by putting Moraes in a lock.

The two got on their feet and clinched, but Arce got on Moraes' back. He tried to lock in the Rear Naked Choke, and Moraes kept trying to get him off his back. The first round ended like that.

Round 2: The second round saw Julio Arce in trouble as a punch tore him open badly. He was bleeding more than anyone should, with a lot of blood pouring from his head like a waterfall. The two clinched, and later Moraes knocked him down. Much like the first round, Arce was able to get out yet again.

Round 3: Julio Arce kept fighting through the insane cut, and continued to exchange shots with Moraes. He seemed not to show any effects from the cut, and the two tried to keep at it with quite a few blows. Arce seemed to actually have control of the third round. He stayed on top of Moraes and actually hit quite a few significant strikes. Arce showed his aggression landing crazy rights and knees as the round ended.

Results: Sheymon Moraes defeated Julio Arce via Split Decision (29-28, 28-29, 30-26)
