UFC Fight Night 124 has come and gone as the event which seemingly lacked star-power delivered with some beautiful violence.

The main event of the evening saw Jeremy Stephens once again remind the world of his vaunted KO power. On the other hand, Jessica-Rose Clark put on a great performance, and Kamaru Usman did what he had to do against a dangerous Emil Meek. Several other intriguing matchups also transpired on the card—the complete results of which have been noted below—

#Main Card (FOX Sports 1)

#1 Jeremy Stephens vs. Doo Ho Choi

Jeremy Stephens and Doo Ho Choi were expected to put on a great fight. And, boy, did they deliver!

After a close Round 1, Choi appeared to have caught Stephens with a beautiful front kick, however, it was Stephens who’d land the cleaner blow in the form of a thunderous overhand right. Stephens followed up with a barrage of punches and elbows before ending the fight.

#2 Jessica-Rose Clark vs. Paige VanZant

Jessica-Rose Clark controlled the rhythm of the matchup right from the word go.

While VanZant showed tremendous courage to make it to the final bell despite having suffered a broken arm, Clark thoroughly out-classed her not only on the feet but also on the ground en-route to a clear-cut decision victory.

This was VanZant's return fight in over a year and her second straight loss.

Result: Jessica-Rose Clark def. Paige VanZant via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28)


#3 Kamaru Usman vs. Emil Meek

Kamaru Usman made a seemingly smart decision to avoid the standup game with dangerous striker Emil Meek.

While Usman sustained some damage from top position courtesy a few slicing elbows thrown by Meek, the former controlled the pace of the matchup. In the end, the judges scored the decision in favour of Usman.

Result: Kamaru Usman def. Emil Meek via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)


#4 Darren Elkins vs. Michael Johnson

Michael Johnson rocked Darren Elkins in the early going.

While Elkins appeared to be in a world of trouble in Round 1, the second stanza brought a completely different story, as Elkins took matters to the ground, and blazed through a seemingly gassed Johnson for the submission victory.

#Preliminary Card (FOX Sports 1)

#1 James Krause vs. Alex White

James Krause and Alex White engaged in a highly entertaining battle over the course of 3 rounds.

While the fight could’ve gone either way in the early going, Krause dominated the latter half of the matchup. In the end, the judges scored the win for Krause, albeit by a small margin.

Result: James Krause def. Alex White via Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)


#2 Polo Reyes vs. Matt Frevola

Marco Polo Reyes absolutely annihilated Matt Frevola.

Reyes hurt Frevola in the early going and never let up; constantly pursuing the finish which he got a few seconds later. Reyes showcased tremendous power in his hands and can be expected to face better opposition in his next Octagon outing.

Result: Polo Reyes def. Matt Frevola via KO (Punch) (Round 1, 1:00)


#3 Irene Aldana vs Talita Bernardo

Irene Aldana and Talita Bernardo appeared to be tentative through the majority of this fight.

While Bernardo did have a few moments in this matchup, it was Aldana who seized control of the pace and rhythm of the matchup. Aldana out-struck and out-grappled Bernardo en route to a clear-cut decision victory.

Result: Irene Aldana def. Talita Bernardo via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)


#4 Kyung Ho Kang vs. Guido Cannetti

Ho Kang showcased excellent composure in this matchup—with the fight lasting only about a round.

While Cannetti seemed clearly out-matched by Kang, the former did use decent technique while trying to defend against Kang’s submission attempts. Regardless, Kang was just too strong and fast for Cannetti; ultimately finishing the latter by way of a triangle choke.

Result: Kyung Ho Kang def. Guido Cannetti via Submission (Triangle Choke) (Round 1, 4:53)

#Preliminary Card (UFC Fight Pass)

#1 Jessica Eye vs. Kalindra Faria

Jessica Eye returned to the win column against a gun-shy Kalindra Faria.

While Eye didn’t open up too much either, Faria seemed a tad uncomfortable with Eye’s footwork. Regardless, the fight was close in all avenues; with 2 of the 3 judges scoring the bout in favour of Eye.

Result: Jessica Eye def. Kalindra Faria via Split Decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28)


#2 JJ Aldrich vs. Danielle Taylor

Danielle Taylor fought a good fight, but her size disadvantage eventually proved to be too much in this matchup.

Aldrich seemed to have Taylor’s timing down, as the latter waded into range. Eventually Aldrich started edging the smaller Taylor; eventually walking away with victor by way of decision.

Result: JJ Aldrich def. Danielle Taylor via Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)


#3 Mads Burnell vs. Mike Santiago

Mads Burnell and Mike Santiago engaged in a close battle of wits over the course of three rounds.

While Burnell had a slight advantage in the standup aspect throughout the fight, Santiago seemed to be opening up late in the fight. Regardless, Burnell’s early work paid dividends, as he was awarded the decision victory.
