Nordine Taleb took the opportunity he was offered to prove himself in the Octagon with both hands and has since managed to win six of his nine fights.
Not the best fighter in the Octagon, however, while he has managed huge wins like a 59-second knockout over Danny Roberts, he has also suffered a huge defeat very recently to the likes of Claudio Silva.
On the other side of things is his opponent for the final fight of the prelims. While Strickland had a good run to begin his UFC career, he has not had the best time ever since then.
To begin his career he had a good 5 victories and 1 loss in the Octagon, but after that, he has managed only 1 victory while suffering 2 horrible one-sided losses.
Strickland will be looking to gain the victory in this fight and get some momentum back. His passive approach in the Octagon might be useless at this point, with Taleb ready to seize any advantage he is presented.
