#Preliminary Card (FOX Sports 1)

#1 Jared Gordon vs. Carlos Diego Ferreira

Jared Gordon is a steadily improving MMA combatant
Jared Gordon is a steadily improving MMA combatant

Jared Gordon is the much more well-rounded fighter in this matchup.

While Gordon seems to consistently underperform under the bright lights, his talent and conditioning alone help him get past many foes. Gordon is likely to start off cautious; jabbing from long range.

Following which, he’ll adjust to Ferreira’s rhythm and timing from Round 2 onwards, and cruise to a decision victory, on the back of superior striking and slick grappling.

Prediction: Jared Gordon def. Carlos Diego Ferreira via Decision

#2 Brian Camozzi vs. Geoffrey Neal

Brian Camozzi is decent in all avenues of the MMA game, however, he seems to have trouble pulling the trigger, at times.

In other words, despite being on a greater skill level than most of his foes, Camozzi seems to be gun-shy when it comes to pushing the pace, and putting the hurt on his foes. Regardless, Geoffrey Neal seems to face the same hesitation conundrum, so to speak, inside the Octagon.

This fight could play out slow, over long stretches of time, with Camozzi likely impressing the judges enough as to warrant the decision victory.

Prediction: Brian Camozzi def. Geoffrey Neal via Decision

#3 Joby Sanchez vs. Roberto Sanchez

Joby Sanchez is perhaps one of the most underrated fighters to have ever graced the MMA cage.

While Joby possesses excellent skills, he does seem to face a few mental blocks under the bright lights of the Octagon. That in turn, causes his skills to be portrayed in a relatively worse light—misleading most fans, and not exhibiting his skills to the fullest. Case in point being his 2015 fight with Geanne Herrera—a bout that Joby started off with good rhythm, however, one that slipped away as he failed to let his hands go with confidence.

Regardless, against Roberto Sanchez, fans can expect Joby to tag his foe at long-to-mid range; drop him, and then secure a submission on the mat.

Prediction: Joby Sanchez def. Roberto Sanchez via Submission

#4 Sarah Moras vs. Lucie Pudilova

Sarah Moras is a steadily improving fighter who seems to be developing a greater understanding of striking fundamentals as and when she acquires more experience.

Moras is one a greater level—technically speaking—as compared to Pudilova. And when that Octagon door slams shut, it’ll show. Moras is likely to out-strike Pudilova, and with the grappling sequences being even-steven, the judges are likely to award Moras the victory.

Prediction: Sarah Moras def. Lucie Pudilova via Decision
