What’s the story?
According to several online bookies, former WWE Champion and UFC Welterweight CM Punk is currently a huge betting favorite over boxing kingpin and legend Floyd Mayweather, in a UFC fight.
In case you didn’t know…
Several reports have recently circulated on the internet claiming that former WBC Lightweight Champion Floyd Mayweather is currently considering to make a jump to the MMA cage from the Boxing ring. There have been talks of Mayweather potentially facing off against Conor McGregor in a rematch inside the UFC octagon, however, Floyd’s uncle, Jeff Mayweather recently claimed that his nephew is apparently willing to square off against CM Punk in his debut fight inside the octagon.
The heart of the matter
Just when you thought that the CM Punk-Floyd Mayweather rumors couldn’t get any stranger, online betting site BetDSI has decided to pull off the unthinkable by largely favoring CM Punk over Floyd Mayweather in a possible fight inside the UFC octagon.
Punk, who has lost his first and only MMA fight so far, is currently clocking in at -300 to Floyd “Money” Mayweather’s underdog line of +220. With the exception of Diego Corrales and Genaro Hernandez, Mayweather is mostly not known to open up as an underdog fighter prior to a fight inside the boxing ring. Additionally, respected MMA site Bloody Elbow also recently inquired about these potential future betting line-ups to BetDSI, to which they responded by stating:
“If they fought in UFC, Punk would probably destroy him. Punk’s size will come into play, and he’s been grappling with high-level guys for some time now. He’ll get the fight to the floor and finish Floyd. Punk via ground.”

CM Punk’s next rumored fight is apparently slated to take place at UFC 225 in Chicago, Illinois against Mike Johnson, however, nothing has been confirmed the promotion as of right now.

Floyd Mayweather has absolutely zero experience in the world of MMA, however, he is a man with a record of 50-0 in the world of Pro Boxing and I think CM Punk is likely to get destroyed by Mayweather’s dominance if the two men ever collide.
