UFC News: Corey Anderson and Ilir Latifi set to face-off at UFC 232 in Las Vegas
What's the story?
In case you didn't know...
Corey Anderson made his UFC debut at The Ultimate Fighter 19 Finale against Matt Van Buren and subsequently won his debut fight in spectacular fashion by knocking out the latter within 61 seconds of their fight. Anderson, who is currently coming fresh off a huge win over veteran Glover Teixeira, was initially scheduled to face Ilir Lafiti at UFC Fight Night 134.
Latifi, on the other hand, last competed in the Octagon against Ovince Saint Preux at UFC on Fox 28, as the former won the fight via submission thanks to a standing guillotine choke in the first round.
The heart of the matter
28-year-old fighter Corey Anderson will now look forward to adding another major win in his UFC career, as he is all set to go head-to-head against Swedish fighter Ilir Latifi, who last competed in the Octagon back in February of this year.
As noted, the UFC officials initially confirmed the bout officially on the FS1 broadcast of UFC Tonight and the fight was first reported by Kimura.se. As aforementioned, this fight was initially scheduled to take place on Fight Night 134 but was eventually scrapped due to all the injury concerns.
Ilir Latifi and Corey Anderson will collide at UFC 232 which will take place on the 29th of December, 2018 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. This will also be the UFC's final PPV of the year and promises to be a huge one due to the fact that the main event of the evening will feature UFC Women's Featherweight Champion Cris Cyborg defending her title belt against current Women's Bantamweight Champion, Amanda Nunes.
