UFC News: Firas Zahabi says Kevin Lee is worthy of becoming world champion if he is disciplined

During a recent interview with Joe Rogan, Firas Zahabi discussed a host of topics including Lightweight sensation Kevin Lee's recent win over Gregor Gillespie at UFC 244 and also revealed what the future holds for The Motown Phenom.

Firas Zahabi comments on Kevin Lee's future

Firas Zahabi was recently a guest on Joe Rogan's JRE MMA Show Podcast, and while speaking with the UFC's color commentator, the former spoke about Lee's recent performance in the Octagon. (H/T: MMA Mania)

Zahabi on Lee's recent knockout over Gillespie at UFC 244:

“(Lee) was very focused for this one,” Zahabi said. “He was very disciplined, he came to all the practices.”

As noted, Zahabi stated that Lee was very focused before his knockout win over Gillespie at UFC 244 and was also very disciplined as well. Lee's coach eventually added that if The Motown Phenom keeps up with his discipline, he could become a world champion.

"He could become world champion - if he’s disciplined.”- Zahabi added.

What's next for Kevin Lee?

At the moment, Kevin Lee's future in the UFC is still unknown, however, expect The Motown Phenom to make his return to the Octagon soon, and he could step into the cage against one of UFC's top Lightweight fighters' for his next bout.
