What's the story?

Jack Swagger is about to make his debut in Bellator MMA this January at Bellator 214, as part of a huge card for the Mixed Martial Arts promotion.

When talking about what sort of reactions he has received from his former colleagues in WWE, it became abundantly clear that Swagger has no bad blood with the roster. In fact, one member of the roster would also be accompanying him out during his fight at Bellator MMA 214 and would actually play a big part on the night.

In case you didn't know...

While best known for his run in WWE, Swagger made the switch to Mixed Martial Arts after he quit WWE a few years back. Since leaving WWE, Swagger has become a Champion in Lucha Underground, where he has had quite a good run.

However, he was also signed by Bellator MMA in 2017. While everyone expected his Mixed Martial Arts debut to take place at some time in 2018, it was not to be. Instead, Swagger had something bigger waiting for him.

Swagger is set to debut as part of one of the biggest cards of the promotion recently, where the Bellator World Heavyweight Grand Prix Final will also culminate, with Fedor Emelianenko taking on Ryan Bader, alongside several other big fights.

The heart of the matter

Appearing under his name Jake Hager, Jack Swagger will be coming out at Bellator MMA to fight JW Kiser, but he might not be alone.

According to Swagger, he will be accompanied by his friend from his WWE days, R-Truth, who might be performing on his behalf while he makes his way out to the fight.

"I think there will be some WWE guys at the event, and I think R-Truth, Ron Killings will be performing at the event for me. You're just going to have to tune in and find out!

Thanks to Fightful for the heads up.
