UFC News: Tony Ferguson says Donald Cerrone is capable of beating Conor McGregor, hoping for double knockout finish

Conor McGregor will be making his highly awaited return to the Octagon on January 18th, 2020 in the main event of UFC 246 against 'Donald' Cowboy Cerrone. Another highly-reputed fighter in the form of Tony Ferguson will also challenge for the UFC Lightweight Title in 2020 and in a recent appearance on Ariel Helwani's MMA Show, 'El Cucuy' expressed his thoughts on the upcoming McGregor vs. Cerrone fight.

Ferguson, who at the moment is nothing but focused on his fight against Khabib Nurmagomedov, feels that Cowboy is well capable of knocking out 'The Notorious One', however, the #1 Lightweight contender is hoping for a double knockout at UFC 246.

While speaking to Ariel Helwani on The MMA Show, Tony Ferguson stated that Donald Cerrone is well capable of taking down Conor McGregor and some brutal kicks from the former will do the damage to the Irishman, who is going to fall like a ton of bricks, said Ferguson. (H/T: BJPenn.com)

“I have to say if Cerrone kicks him to the chops, McGregor is going to fall like a ton of bricks. But, like I always say, I’m going to go for a double knockout.”

However, much like every one of us, Ferguson also remains excited to witness the fight between McGregor and Cerrone at UFC 246, as he further added the following:

“I think they are going to go in there guns blazing. I think it is going to be a good fight, I can’t wait to watch it."
