UFC reinstates Jon Jones, return date being contemplated upon

Jon Jones is back and ready to rumble

Shout out from the roof tops, because Jon ‘Bones’ Jones is back with the UFC. We reported earlier that, Jones was on course in completing his mandatory probationary sentence in record time and so he did with ease.

The UFC officially reinstated the former Light Heavyweight Champion and as we speak, talks and negotiations are underway regarding his return date to the octagon. Fight fans and Jones fanboys all across the world have been waiting to see one of the greatest pound for pound mixed martial artists, step back in the octagon and prove his detractors wrong.

UFC CEO Lorenzo Fertitta by stating that a warning has been issued to Jones, had this to say:

"We've made it clear to Jon that this new opportunity to compete in UFC is a privilege and not a right, and that there are significant expectations we have regarding his conduct moving forward. We're happy to read and see reports that he has embraced the terms of his plea agreement and is using this experience to grow and develop as a person."

After a turbulent past few months, Jones can finally breath a sigh of relief as he his sights would firmly be set on reclaiming his lost gold. The reason behind his suspension was his involvement in an hit and run case in Albuquerque, New Mexico. During this period, his arch nemesis, Daniel Cormier stepped up and captured the Light Heavyweight belt, puttiing out a string of impressive defenses against the likes of Rumble and Gustafsson.

The reinstatement means a huge relief for Jones, who finds himself blessed and posted this on facebook:

"I am grateful for the opportunity to resume my career and I am excited to show how much I've grown as a person outside of the octagon. It took me losing almost everything I had worked for to realize how much I had. I am blessed and humbled by the continued support of the MMA community and I can't thank my fans enough for their unwavering support through my ups and downs. This marks the beginning of a new chapter in my life and my career and let me assure

Who Jones would be facing is to be seen, but it sure comes as a big jolt for Ryan Bader, who is long overdue a shot at the coveted LHW title after dominating Rashad ‘Suga’ Evans. DC, though, would be elated as his mind is focussed on beating the one guy who has put a blot on his near perfect record of 17 wins and 1 loss. Exciting months ahead indeed.
